A common perception that most parents and students have is that a child is either “Mathematically-inclined” or “Mathematically – handicapped”. On the contrary, such perception is untrue. At Aspire Hub, we strongly believe that the mathematical ability of a student can be developed through a structured learning programme that incorporates not only mathematical knowledge and skills but also essential thinking skills like Classifying, Comparing, Sequencing, Analyzing Parts & Whole, Identifying Patterns & Relationships, Induction, Deduction and Spatial Visualization. The “What’s The Problem” programme exposes students to the use of the various heuristic skills to solve routine and non – routine word problems. In addition, they will also build their confidence and be more flexible in their approach when solving mathematical word problems.
